What a pleasant change to discover an enlightened council which is not a slave to the mass car culture. "...At a Cookham parish council meeting tonight, the traffic and transport working group told councillors and residents that their research suggests a series of three throats' - posts which narrow the lane - would be the best solution. The footpath would also be widened to allow easier and safer access to pedestrians.
