Anyone familiar with the "BT Hub Phone" that they currently ship? Also, the "Home Hub", this is the newer version with N wifi and ships with the Option 2/3 package. Basically, I want to know if the phone handset is just a DECT or if it's actually SIP based and whether or not it can be used with other wifi devices. I'm also wondering about the success of unlocking this newer hub for use with other SIP services or DSL providers. If the phone handset is actually SIP based and usable in the "BT Openzone" or "Fon" wifi access points it could be interesting, if it's just a glorified DECT base station and handset, not so much so. If it's a real wifi/SIP phone does it have browser support to authenticate on webpage based authenticated wifi access points? Trying to decide on BT vs one of the other broadband offerings and unless this phone+hub are adding much value, it seems the "Option 3" is overpriced considering the monthly + contract termination costs if I leave early.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
