Always usable cordless phones

It is recommended that a simple phone is always kept available in case of power cuts, when cordless phones do not work. Is there any technical reason why a cordless phone base unit could not be supplied with a backup rechargeable battery (like the handset) which would allow the phone to be used when mains power fails? -- Jeff[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
