The message <6l6kdmFaudocU1@mid.individual.net> from "Ivor Jones" <ivor@thisaddressis.invalid> contains these words: > In news:313030303037313548EE26B205@invalid.invalid, > MB <MB@invalid.invalid> typed, for some strange, unexplained reason: > [snip] > : I have yet to meet anyone who likes any form of unsolicited junk > : telephone call whether sales or surveys. > : > : I would think they would also have the same reaction to anyone > : appearing at the door and expecting them to take part in a "survey". > : Perhaps if they handed over a £20 note then I might answer their > : questions. > If anyone turns up at my front door that I either don't know or aren't > expecting, I simply don't answer the door. Likewise if the phone rings and > it's more of the same I simply hang up without speaking. > I rarely get cold callers either at the door or on the phone a second > time. > Ivor > PS if you *really* want to annoy me, work in a shop and pounce on me while > I'm still halfway over the threshhold and say "can I help you..?" or worse > "'may' I help you (as if you might not)..! Ditto, I never answer any Number Withheld, International or unknown number now. I let the answer machine pick up the call. If it is a real call then I can pick up the phone. But I find it very unsatisfactory that we have to do that now because of all the junk calls. MB[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
