I have recently subscribed to AOL Talk Unlimited NoFee (a CPS service) the service apparently was set up, I received an email confirming it etc etc. Today, finally, I got around to reprogramming my Orchid box to take advantage of the free geographic calls (I was routing geographic calls to a 18??? number) and something odd is happening: I have had BT Charge Advice set up (with *411#) for a long time because I wanted to cost certain types of calls routed through the BT network. You can imagine my surprise when all local calls I have been making, supposed to have been routed through AOL Talk cause a charge advice call back from BT! Of course (we all know that) AOL's support was maddening: one lady even disclaimed any knowledge of them selling CPS services. Another one told me that I need to enter the LOCAL area code to make local calls (and also had never heard of Carrier Preselection). My doubt is therefore: Does Charge Advice prevent calls from being routed to the CPS carrier? That had never happened when calls were prefixed by the Orchid dialler. TIA for your comments and suggestions Lorenz[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
