I don't think I can stand it anymore. A buddy across town (Cambridge) has a similar set-up and EXACTLY the same problems - so it ain't me ! Set-up: VirginMedia line (also have VM BB and TV). VM calls are fine (but very expensive) One-Tel calls (via 0800 access) are fine (but only a bit less expensive). I use One-Tel for work to get a separate bill. 1899 calls (via 0800 access) are crap (but very cheap). 1899 problems: 1. By far the most serious. Calls "drop out". Maybe after 10 seconds, maybe after 2 minutes, maybe not at all. Problems about 25% of the time. You suddenly realise you talking to yourself - no obvious clicks or anything. 2. Crap quality - Delays, poor audio which maybe one-directional. I have reported this to 1899 and received an "automated reply". No follow up, or call-back. No improvement, no credits on my bill. Zero customer service. As 18866 and 18185 are the same company, I expect they would be same. If I don't get a quick solution to 1899 issues, I'm thinking of taking VM 24/7 geographic for £8 per month. VM's 200 mins of international, geographic, 0870, mobile, etc at £9 does not seem like a great deal "for me". Skype at 1.5p per min looks interesting, but not convenient unless I'm sat at my PC. Anybody from 1899 reading this NG who would like to comment ? Do other 1899 users have the same issues ? TIA. Fred[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
