Me too, a colleague who uses $ky on he's BT line has had *411# switched on
but the call-back has has only recently started happening with him too,
weirder also is one or two calls have come back with the message "There was
no charge for this call".

Indeed, this is why he (my colleague) had *411# active on he's line when he
got $ky.

But the cost that is quoted is out by at least 5p or so, I think that is why
BT stopped charging for the service some time back.

Out of interest are you on a System Y or X exchange? I can't test it on my
home phone (sys Y) as Charge advice does not work.
