Hi I'm just hoping to find someone who may have the answers to the following. I have tried both BT and virginmedia sites but with no luck. I have landline and broadband with BT, and a freeview PVR with the poor value TUTV. I'm now considering replacing with a virginmedia cable package to include phone/internet/TV. Am I correct in that a Migration Account Code (MAC) would only be required if changing ISP but using same line, but as I'll be going from a BT landline to a fibre optic cable package I won't need a MAC, or will I? Is it possible when transferring account to retain my original BT landline telephone number and transfer it over to the virginmedia account, or do I lose the BT number and have to have a new number? Is there anyway around this apart from remaining with BT? I do understand that my btinternet email accounts can only be accessed via smtp and pop3 in outlook express or T-bird only if connected via my BT ISP account, but if I close my BT ISP account do the actual email accounts remain active, as they are actually rebadged yahoo accounts and I can access them via the yahoo site, that shouldn't change should it, even though they are @btinternet.com accounts, or have I got that wrong, if I close my account with BT as an ISP do I lose my bt email accounts? Thanks in advance for any guidence.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
