Somebody I know, who REALLY hates to spend money, nevertheless has obtained a second sky box, and wants to use it to watch tv in a different room. Despite the fact there's more than one person lives in the house, they swear they'll never want to watch sky in both rooms at once, so it seems a simple splitter on the cable from the lnb should do the job. But they got one with power pass on just one port and they say it doesn't work on the other. (They live some distance away so I can't just drop round for a decko.) Presumably they should have power pass on both ports, but isn't that dangerous if they forget and have both boxes on at the same time? What might complicate things is that one of the boxes is dodgy and has to be left on standby all the time. What should I tell them? -- <http://www.dalbrack.org/> Consciousness, Mind, Matter, Meaning and Information[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
