How much difference does cable make?

I want to connect three wires to the empty connections on my Quad LNB. The mamximum length will be 10 metres. I purchased some 'proper' satellite cable from Wickes - but it was the worst quality cable I have ever come across - the sparse copper braiding was actually stuck to the outer sheath, so however you tried to strip the cable all the braiding would come off with it! I took it back for a refund. Then I found some white "Digital coax" I had already had from a TV extension kit - seems much better quality, with thicker braid that does not come off when stripping the cable. The inner sheilding foil is only aluminium, but so was the Wickes stuff... For short runs does it really matter?[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
