OT - SCART/S-video connections

This is OT I know, but a quick question that I hope one of you helpful
guys can answer.

My DVD player is connected with a SCART lead to the SCART RGB input of
the TV.
Both units have S-video terminals. Would there be any difference/
improvement if I connected them using S-video and the associated audio
connections instead of the SCART?
