i have seen this bird a few times this past 2 weeks,(as im off work). we have a bird book, but cant find it! it looks like a cross between a thrush and a blackbird, its not a redwing, its chunky, and darker with thrush breast markings, no light steak above eyes,i can go up right up to it and offer it a worm, but it refuses to take it from me! it hops a few feet away from me, comes back a few mins later and eats it.! It lurks under my bird feeders, just hopping around, eying worms, pulling them up and eating dropped seeds. It goes up the garden to the bean row, then it comes back! i have never seen such a tame bird, it beats the local dunnock! i cant post a picture of it, but if someone replies i will send you the photo. cheers john[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
