According to the BBC, Network Rail are to carry out a feasibility (for the Welsh Assembly Government) on the possibility of reinstating services on two former track stretches. The lines are on old sections between Llangefni on Anglesey and Bangor, and between Aberdare and Hirwaun in the Cynon valley in south Wales. Tracks are apparently in place on both but in an overgrown and rather derelict state. I'm aware that Arriva Trains Wales has ideas about reinstating services to Llangefni (and Caernarfon) when they bid for the franchise - this idea was abandoned before they were awarded the franchise.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
