I saw one of them on 4 May, in Northampton, but its location precluded pretty much anything by way of photography. There was a tarpaulin over part of it, and what was exposed didn't look very good. Talking to one of the volunteers, I gained the impression that the heritage centre is very much limping along through lack of willing and committed helpers. As far as the visitor experience is concerned, what's on offer is pretty disappointing - there are a few emu/dmu coaches crammed into a small set of sidings that are too congested with other rubbish to be safe enough to let people in, and whilst the vandals may be deterred by the security measures, the weather isn't, and seems to be winning.
