Having travelled on a weekday NXEC service for the first time in a while, the person in front of me was ordering a cooked meal in the buffet car (a hotpot, I think). The buffet menu seemed to mention hot meals, plus also the option of a meal from the restaurant car menu on selected services - unless I misread/misunderstood. Is this all new? I knew they were trialing a 'bistro' service in the buffet car early this year, but I didn't realise that was still running - and the offer (if I understood correctly) of a meal from the restaurant menu is not something I'd heard of before. ...thinks. Is someone at NXEC having a bit of fun by _increasing_ the catering service before handing the franchise back to DfT, thus forcing DfT to carry forward any improvements, or else eat their recently reported words regarding not reducing service levels? -roy[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
