Are there any banking operations still going on nowadays? There still seems to be no shortage of freight flows that way, though mostly to South Wales rather than the West Country. I know some freights work from the Midlands to South Wales via the Shrewsbury avoider and Hereford then also the Stourbridge line is available avoiding Lickey (though not Old Hill) as well. So, is Lickey still used by freight and does the use of modern motive power (class 66) mean banking is no longer required?[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
