Riding on the new 'improved' city centre Manchester Metrolink, I notice something odd. I understood that the new trams being delivered don't have retractable steps, so all stops have to have full-length high platforms. And St Peters Square has certainly been rebuilt in this way. The low/high platform at High Street non longer exists as it was replaced a few years ago by the the high platform at Market Street, round the corner. However, the one-way stop at Mosley Street, although it's been tarted up, still retains its original platform with a short high section and the rest low. Is this going to get done, or maybe they are going to close that station? Or maybe the new trams do have steps? Charlie[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
