Someone in the know told me the other day that an additional service
is to be introduced northbound in the morning returning from Holyhead
in the evening.

Apparently, this service will route via Wrexham though my contact
could offer nothing as to the details concerning its operation i.e.
what happens at Chester.

Interesting to know how much this is all costing and quite where the
money is coming from, assuming ticket revenue doesn’t provide the
answer that is.

I wonder how successful in this respect has the other service been?

Certainly, although the introduction of through services was somewhat
politically motivated, I believe the original introduction of a two
hourly interval service has achieved a degree of revenue success,
unless anyone knows different?
