Ticket Validity London - Cardiff Return

I am looking to try out the loco hauled Cardiff - Taunton service as
far as Bristol Temple Meads. If i bought a London - Cardiff Off-Peak
Return would i be covered for this journey? I also plan to hop a XC
HST from Bristol Temple Meads to Parkway on the return leg as well.
