Are routes via London available on an AP ticket anyway?

Problem with relying on the FGW Brighton service is it only runs east bound
once a weekday, (early am starts at Portsmouth eastbound) and westbound
twice. No use if you want much flexibility.

Another point is that on Sundays (assuming travelling for weekends?) there
are no Southern services to/from Southampton, so changing at Fratton onto
the Cardiff - Portsmouth route is necessary, (except if using the rare FGWs
from Brighton!).

Posters have also mentioned Southampton - Littlehampton direct services,
these are not in the normal timetable, (except the last two at night as they
return to depot)...

Barnham is the obvious place to change, rather than Havant, as it is where
Southern will attempt to get things sorted out if there is any service
disruption...
