Between expiration of my annual season, and commencement of a new one, I decided to sample the First Class experience with a 7 day ticket. My little experiment has revealed: i) There are power sockets in First in the Electrostars - the GoVia specc'd ones only. Never knew that. ii) Free tea, coffee or water are offered where a trolley service operates - but only on Southern, not GatEx. The trolley attendant requires sight of a valid FC ticket. Never knew that either. iii) The seats in First (again, only GoVia units), which I thought were the same as Standard, are actually a little taller, and the armrests (always a contentious fixture in uk.railway) are different. Still not sure that's worth an extra £2k per year, though. Chris[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
