Problems in Calderdale this morning?

On my way to work this morning I passed the First bus depot at Skircoat
Green in Halifax and one of their fine 15-year old single deckers was making
it's way out onto the road with "Blackpool - Rail Replacement Service"
showing on the destination board.

I've not heard of any problems, can anyone enlighten me what, if anything,
was afoot?
