You travelled via London. The section from London to Hackney is valid by map TS, among others. Map TS shows that a valid route from London to Hackney is the rather circuitous journey Liverpool Street - Barking - Walthamstow - Gospel Oak - (Caledonian Road & Barnsbury) - Highbury & Islington - Hackney. You chose to use a subset of this valid route. That's OK because starting late, breaking journey and finishing early are all allowed with a Cheap Day Return. In contrast, if you had used a Saver Return, break of journey is not allowed on the outward portion until 7 September but is OK on the return. From 7 September the replacement ticket for a Saver Return will allow break on both legs. Such are the complexities of railway travel! > How one find out the answers to these questions ? Learn how to use the online National Routeing Guide. Read this first: http://www.atoc.org/rsp/_downloads/Routeing_Guide/instructions.htm then start here: http://www.atoc.org/rsp/Routeing_Guide.asp > In these days of supposedly integrated transport, it would be nice if > there were some website that would make even a plausible stab at > generating journey options involving both national rail and cycling. Yes, that would be a very good idea indeed. John[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
