You know, they (the DfT) might have got away with this had those new
TV services gone straight down the main line, running via Northampton
really slows things down.

That and retaining complimentary refreshments and the pax would have
hardly been any the wiser.

As it is, there's going to be a real derogation of quality but note
still at the extortionate fare levels Nuneaton passengers were told
they had to pay because of the WCML 125mph upgrade.

Given the political climate, I foresee a climb down.
