I don't think that one has to be a crank not to enjoy a ride with no window view, no room for ones shoulders and a ledge digging into one. I have been very specific in my criticism of Pendolinos and it has nothing to do with nostalgia. The 350s are newer, have good window views, wide coaches, straight sides, flat walls and nothing digging into you, resulting in a much better travelling experience than 321s (or Electrostars).
