You most certainly are not the only person Charlie. I look forward to
the enhanced bendyleano avoidance timetable. I have posted before on
the subject, I currently prefer to use 323s Manchester to Crewe, 350s
to New St and either Chiltern or the hauled set back to London.

The journey via Northampton will be a bit longer, but the large
windows in the 350s afford a "proper" train journey, window gazing et
al rather than staring at your oh so close travelling companions or
seat backs / bulkheads. You can even see the loco numbers passing by !
No smelly loos and as for the buffet..... I have a bite card and
Euston, New Street, Stafford, Crewe, Stockport etc all beter the
"shop" not least because they do NOT stock Virmin Cola. Of course most
locations are bettered by a short walk to the local shops anyway.

As for Chiltern, is there any more to add to the rumours of Irish Mk3s
for the Snow Hills ? Will they keep the plastic orange seats and
silver service full irish breakfast, memories !
