It's another example of the Government being out of touch and not listening. This is marginal country; the constituencies around the Nuneaton catchment area are of the sort that will decide the next election. It is extremely careless for an already unpopular Government to piss off potential voters in this way. You need to understand this has played very badly locally. No doubt this is the message those local politicians will be ramming home to Ruth Kelly. I predict yet another messy climb down with all the very worst logistical problems that will result Nuneaton has a population of 70,000 which is the same as the whole county of Lincoln perhaps the DfT should have spotted the difference – it’s basic stuff really. This is what happens when planners, like more than a few that post here (Lincoln 125mph service good idea, Nuneaton 125mph service bad idea??????), lose sight of the little picture.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
