NXEA website update at 17.45 this evening says that due to the
accident involving the engineers, Network Rail have extended the
timescale to completion. At Chelmsford tonight they were
suggesting that it will now be well into Thursday...

NXEA are still coping fairly well, other than the chaos at
Chelmsford today - when the police had to be called...  :(
