Agreed. Not only is the idea silly, but it's so obviously daft that
it detracts from the rest of the article.

I'm very dubious about the idea of cutting time from the turnarounds
at Bradford Interchange - late-running trains often seem to catch up
a couple of minutes there.

If they want to provide quicker journeys to Leeds, the cheapest and
simplest thing would be to open the gate between platform 8 and the
outside world. As things are, for arrivals into platforms 11C or 12C,
it would save several minutes of journey time in the morning peak
to do this - so long as the journey is (correctly) considered to
end at the station exit, rather than at the platform.
