Used to sit on the so called Silence Case. And jumped every time the Creed 5B done a CR. She never understood that . Bloody noisy with the cover on even. I first got away from the 5B when I build the G3PLX RTTY solid state RTTY unit. I remember there were about 30 to 40 Ics. I part done an etched board and part wire wrapped it. NO CAD in those days. It worked all but one part.I could not work out why. I rang Peter PLX..Explained the fault. UUUMMM ARRRRRRR..Oh yes..you have no volts on such and such section of the memory " he said " He was so right. Yes ok on BMK... It was good software. But I liked Peters better ( WHOs) Real good old days really. But as they say " you had to be there " In passing Stephen my eldest lad ( now 49 this month ) wrote the first SSTV program for the BBC.. He was circa 22 then, He done quite well out of it lol. AHHHHHHHHH Memories. de Johnny G3LIV de Johnny G3LIV[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
