I sleep a solid eight hours a night, thanks.

Do you really mean to say that you don't know, or don't care, that you
can be threatened with arrest for taking a photograph of a Routemaster
bus? Or being two years old and having your details 'retained on a
police database'? Or being detained at a railway station for 'looking
at the police'? Or being detained at a railway station for 'not
looking at the police'? Or being detained at a railway station for
'looking down at the escalator steps'? Or having £200 confiscated from
you because the police believe you shouldn't have that much cash on
you? Or being gassed at a family barbeque because of a minor
allegation against another family member?

All these are lawful activities, and real-life cases. They happened in
the UK, recently, and most of them concerned people just like you. The
criminals, of course, know how to play the system, so it doesn't
happen to them.
