(50 years ago lol ) There was an old lady neighbour that was the "POLICE" My mother did not want to fall out of her when I mentioned an antenna across the street. I ran coax up the wall and dropped a 20 metre dipole clipped inside the front of the gutter. Well waterproofed though Ours were wood then..YES lots of years ago.
