Surely that depends on the tone of the thread. For example, the one re the
Airbus while "of topic" hasn't had the usual "spoilers" joining it and
thus
is just a discussion.

If you've some proof you held the callsign there should be an issue. An old
licence would be the best but if you can demonstrate holding the callsign
by, for example a photocopy of the relevant entry in the RSGB callbook, and
that entry relates to you, OFCOM will (re)issue your licence with your old
callsign- no need to take any exams etc.

You can download the form from the OFCOM website, fill it in, enclose the
proof, and £20 and all should be well. Once you've get the licence you will
be "on the system" and so get a username and password to "renew" your
licence every 5 years for free. The £20 is just to "get on the system".
