SOUTH YORKSHIRE MICROWAVE ROUNDTABLE WEEKEND 1-12 JUNE 2009

The South Yorkshire Microwave Roundtable weekend is almost upon us and
some of you have not yet registered! Please do as soon as possible if
you intend to stay overnight and/or attend the Saturday evening meal.

If you haven’t yet registered on the Finningley
Amateur Radio Society’s website, you have just a
weeks or so to do so! While registration is
not mandatory for a casual attendance on one
or both days, it is required if you need to use
the catering and would like to attend the Saturday
evening dinner. In any case, even if you're coming
on one day only we'd like to know in advance....

If you wish to camp overnight on the site then
registration is needed. Use the website for this.
A fairly definite idea of numbers likely to be at the event
makes life easier for the organizers, so please register!

The programme (see below) is now confirmed.
In addition there will be an antenna test range
available, subject to the weather, and also a
limited range of microwave test equipment.

SATURDAY:

All Day:  Fleamarket/ bring and Buy

10am– 4.30pm: MICROWAVE ATV WORKSHOP:
(Organised by G3PYB and G8DKK)

This is aimed that those who have an interest in
microwave ATV but have not yet got going. It will also
be of interest to more experienced ATVers.

7.30pm—11pm: PUB EVENING MEAL:

This will be most enjoyable, as was last year’s so
please come along. It’s essential to register for this on
the Finningley ARS website (see above). The venu is the Greentree Inn,
Tudworth Road Hatfield Doncaster Tel 01302 840305 ...right at the top of
the long road from the Finningley club QTH. It's a full Carvery and the
exact details should now be on the Web site. Though you pay on the night
(under £5 a head) we need to give the pub numbers in advance. There are
so far only 8 attending the meal so we'd like to see more !

LATEST NEWS FROM Kevin Avery, G3AAF, of Finningley A.R.S:

As at 25 June, we have a total of 33 registered as attending, with 19
for the ATV workshop on Saturday. We will have bring and buy tables set
up on the Saturday also either outside or inside WX permitting The meal
will be at the Greentree Inn Tudworth Road Hatfield Doncaster Tel 01302
840305 right at the top of the long road from the club.
