I was hoping that the QRN on 4 metres would be less for the cumulative contest yesterday as the weather was warmer and there would be less thermostat and boiler control noise. How wrong I was, it was far worse than usual making operating over a 120 degree segment impossible. It was peaking in one particular direction. OK, there are houses in that direction but there is also a CCTV distribution cabinet and I remembered seeing someone working inside the box last week. The question, eventually, is; has anyone else suffered QRN from equipment installed in such a cabinet? Am trying to purloin a portable receiver to confirm it as the source and as to if the radiation is on 70 MHz or a harmonic or getting into the 28MHz IF. Anyone had any joy with cable companies taking action on radiating equipment? Thanks, David[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
