I always thought "Broadbanding" in CB's meant fitting extra channels or
opening them out to their full capacity for the radios made to be opened
out.
I also understood it to mean altering the VCO components so the VCO would
'stretch' over the full expansion of the radios extra channels. Bleed over
is definitely a CB expression, or one well used on there.
But you are right, for want of a better word it describes the un-desired
effect quite well.
