OT: WTF is with ebay?

A friend of mine won an auction on epay and goes to pay and the payment page
now has two confirm buttons (??)

So he checks the price is ok and clicks on the the two confirm buttons and
the page hangs, it's doesn't forward to paypal or what ever.

His has just phoned to say he now an email saying payment didn't go through
and to try again only ending up with the same problem.

Any else had a similar problem??

I can't help as I have nothing to pay for and I don't use paypal anyway as
it's a insecure rip off system.
