That's why I'm asking if anyone knows of a decent solicitor who I can consult about this - I'd obviously prefer to speak to one who is familiar with this area of law. I doubt very much that it would take more than a single short consultation to find out whether or not I have a case. >Unless it is legally cut and dried, the cost of legal action even if >you win is likely to outweigh he value of the contract, or rather your >loss until the point you can arrange alternative work. Again. that depends on whether a win would mean the agency paying the legal fees too, and whether a solicitor would take the case on a no-win no fee basis. A few years ago I was involved in a legal case involving a severe personal injury. I consulted a solicitor who specialized in the type of accident I'd been involved in - his initial consultation was free, and although the settlement wasn't large, there was no financial risk for me - he sued the other party for my damages and for my costs. I guess I'm just going to have to phone around a few places - most solicitors seem to have their own areas of expertise, and I was hoping that someone knew of one whose area was contract law (in the sense of the sort of contracts IT consultants use to provide services).[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
