Hi, My landlord is subletting a room in a 2 bedrooms flat. The first verbal agreement(November) was £400pcm plus £200 deposit. Three months later (February) the landlord increases the rent at £500pcm. Five month later (July) the landlord wants to increase the rent again because the council increases the rent every year in April. I disagree with the landlord because what I pay covers the entire flat cost, I am using one room, pay the entire gas and electricity bills. Half of the furnitures belongs to me because the flat was partly furnished ( fridge, washer-dryer...) I want to know what are my rights. Can the landlord increase the rent whenever he feels like? A part from moving out because I am angry, is there anything the law can do? Can I take the landlord to court? Thank you in advance for helping me out. -- Lynetolle[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
