Hello, I have heard of The Part-time Workers (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2000. Can anyone tell me, if a company forces all part-time workers to work Saturdays, when full-time workers are not so compelled, could this be considered as unfavourable treatment and a breach of the above regs.? I'm pretty sure that a couple of months ago, Thomas Cook's web site said all part-timers must work Saturdays. A family member works for a bank full-time Monday to Friday. She has asked if she could drop her hours to four days per week but the area manager has told her that if she does, she will have to work every Saturday because this bank also has a policy of all part-timers must work Saturdays. This does not seem sensible to me. Surely the point of part-time work is flexibility and this is having the opposite effect? Thanks, Stephen.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
