Hi. I'm shopping for an ultra portable laptop for my sister in law. We've looked at the EEE PC options, but she finds the screen too small, other than on the 1000 range which isn't out yet. We like the Acer 2920, especially the 12" screen but it's too expensive at £400+ What we've gone for is the MSI Wind, at around the £330 mark. Lack of optical drive is no problem, and the 'average' battery life of a couple of hours will do. Trouble is, PC World have the Advent 4211 at a very attractive £279. I really really really don't want to buy from them as I'm terrified that if it goes wrong they'll keep it for 6 months and make it worse. I also believe that the MSI Wind comes with a 2 year warranty whereas the 4211 just a standard 1 year. I'd appreciate any opinions here, especially something along the lines of 'actually, buying from PC World will be OK because........' Cheers all.[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
