Hi: I'm thinking of keeping my ancient Dell Inspiron 7500 always on to service my weather station. How safe is this from a fire point of view? Is it better to run it without the battery in? (Obviously it will be running off the mains and in its port replicator.) At the moment it seems to be running rather hot and from time to time it shuts down and won't respond. I have to switch it off and start again. Any thoughts most welcome. TIA Hugh -- Hugh Newbury Running Linux Suse 10.1 in deepest Dorset[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
