I hope someone can give me some useful advice here. I am using Windows XP HE SP2 on a 3 y/old Dell Dimension 5000. All fine until Wednesday, when overnight I lost the ability to communicate with the Web. My email and newsgroup connections are working OK, and my Network Adaptor Diagnostics advise that HTTP and HTTPS connectivity is OK. My browser is Internet Explorer 7.0 at the latest level. The ISP support advise that the problem is at my end and could be associated with either my USB modem (Voyager 105) or IE 7. Has anyone any ideas on this fault? I could reload the USB modem, and I have the Windows XP reinstallation CD to hand. Is it possible to 'repair' IE 7. I would prefer to do that, rather than a complete re-install.
