Hi, I've just installed Ubuntu 8.04 onto an HP 150 laptop and I've got a couple of problems; which I was hoping someone could help me solve. Firstly, the biggie, quite a few applications (Xine, Totem, Kaffeine) hang up my system so badly that only removing the battery will bring it round, something I wasn't expecting from a linux system. Secondly, I've got a Panther GX4 webcam (lsusb reports: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0c45:6242 Microdia) And I just /cannot/ make it work. I've tried all of the drivers I can find online (uvt, gspsav1, sn9c1xx-1.48), and none of them appear to do anything useful - Ekiga, Cheese and Skype all fail to find the webcam with any of the drivers). I've spent two days on it now, and I'm stuck. Any ideas will be gratefully received. -- ====================================================================== = David --- If you use Microsoft products, you will, inevitably, get = Mitchell --- viruses, so please don't add me to your address book. ======================================================================[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
