Pat's Note: This could be a quote from Burkie making a point with his customary precision. "Now we can reconstruct how outbreaks occur with a level of precision far beyond what we've had," he said. "If you used this in the recent e-coli outbreak," he added, "you'd be able to track it back to the exact pig that pooped on the spinach." In fact, it is from a fascinating piece on the science that tracked down the source of the US antrax terrorist attacks. Well worth a read: http://www.philly.com/inquirer/health_science/weekly/20080901_Cracking_the_anthrax_case.ht ml The world is a small place. Technology not available at the time can tract the progress of disease about the world. No wonder Britain won't test its pigs. It does not dare release results that presumably wll show the origins of mutated PMWS and possibly current MRSA outbreaks. Why else would they refuse? -- Regards Pat Gardiner Release the results of testing British pigs for MRSA and C.Diff now! www.go-self-sufficient.com and http://animal-epidemics.blogspot.com/[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
